Fatal Fire Strikes Containership in Houston Port πŸ”₯

Local fire departments responded to the engine room fire and located three missing crewmembers (Baytown Fire Deptartment)

A deadly fire aboard the Stride, a Panama-flagged containership at the Port of Houston, claimed two lives and left another crew member critically burned. The fire erupted in the engine room around 3:30 AM local time, leading to the tragic casualties. Quick response from local fire departments and the U.S. Coast Guard contained the fire, limiting its spread. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the blaze, while authorities continue monitoring the vessel for the next 24 hours.
